Building Resilience in Children and Teens:
Preparing Our Children for Life
Thursday, January 19
7:00 p.m. at Del Mar Middle School
105 Avenida Miraflores, Tiburon
Dr. Ginsburg will discuss how children and teens can
develop positive coping strategies, and how parents can
help facilitate the seven Cs in their children: competence,
confidence, connection, character, contribution, coping, and
control. He emphasizes the developmental strengths of
youth and aims to equip parents and educators with the
skills to help children better help themselves.
Kenneth Ginsburg specializes in adolescent medicine at The Children’s
Hospital of Philadelphia and also serves as director of health services at
a shelter for homeless and disenfranchised youth. Dr. Ginsburg lectures
widely to national and international parent and professional audiences.
His most recent books are Letting Go with Love and Confidence: Raising Responsible,
Resilient, Self-Sufficient Teens and Building Resilience in Children
and Teens: Giving Kids Roots and Wings. Dr. Ginsburg is an advisor to Stanford
University’s Challenge Success program.
